How we handle information on this marketing website. Client tax data is processed only in the secure portal, not on these pages.
Scope
This policy covers smartax.cloud (and related marketing pages). When you use the Smartax client portal or staff admin applications, your tax office’s practices and our platform data-processing terms also apply.
Information we collect on this site
- Contact / demo requests — name, email, company, optional phone, and message you submit through our form. Sent securely to our sales inbox via our API.
- Technical logs — standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) may be retained by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
- Cookie preferences — stored locally in your browser when you respond to the cookie notice (see our Cookie policy).
How we use it
We use contact submissions to respond to demo and sales inquiries. We do not sell personal information from this marketing site. We may use aggregated, non-identifying traffic data to improve the site.
Platform applications
Tax documents, SSN/EIN, return data, and account credentials are collected and stored only within the secure Smartax client portal at app.yourdomain.com and related API services — not on this static marketing site.
Retention
Contact form records are kept as long as needed for sales follow-up and ordinary business records. Server logs are retained according to our host’s policy, typically a limited period.
Your choices
You may request access to or deletion of marketing-site contact data by emailing hello@smartax.cloud. Portal users should contact their tax office for return-related data requests.
Security
Demo requests are transmitted over HTTPS. Platform security controls (encryption, access control, tenant isolation) apply to portal and API services separately from this brochure site.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
